The Black Creek Retriever Club, serving the greater capital region surrounding Albany, NY, was incorporated in 1974. As per its constitution, the club was created to achieve the following objectives:
a) To further the advancement of pure-bred retrievers. b) To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of all retriever breeds and to encourage sportsman- like competition at retriever trials and hunt tests. c) To conduct sanctioned and licensed trials and hunt tests under the rules of the American Kennel Club. d) To promote wildlife conservation, sportsmanship, and education.
